Veterans and Military Health
People who serve in the military and veterans face few dissimilar health issues than civilians. During wartime, the major health concerns are life-threatening injuries. These comprise shrapnel and gunshot wounds, lost limbs, and head injuries. Few service members might also have health problems from exposure to environmental hazards, like contaminated water, chemicals and infections.
Service members and veterans are at jeopardy for mental health problems, too. These comprise anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and substance abuse.
