Dwarfism
A dwarf is a person of small stature - under 4' 10" as an adult. More than 200 dissimilar conditions can cause dwarfism. A single kind, called achondroplasia, causes about 70 percent of all dwarfism. Achondroplasia is a genetic condition that impinges about 1 in 25,000 people. It makes your arms and legs short in similarity to your head and trunk. Further genetic conditions, kidney disease and problems with metabolism or hormones may also cause short stature.
Dwarfism itself is not an ailment. On the other hand, there is a larger risk of some health problems with suitable medical care, the majority of people with dwarfism have active lives and live as long as other people.
