Abscesses
An abscess is a sack of pus. You can
get an abscess roughly anywhere in
your body. When an area becomes impure, your body's
immune system tries to struggle it. White blood cells
go to the infected area, gather within
the damaged tissue and cause inflammation. During this
course, pus forms. Pus is the buildup of liquid, living
and dead white blood cells, dead tissue and bacteria
or further foreign substances.
Bacteria,
viruses, parasites and swallowed matter
can all lead to abscesses. Skin abscesses are simple
to detect. They are red, raised and painful.
Abscesses inside your body might not be obvious and
can damage organs, counting the brain, lungs and others.
Treatments comprise drainage and antibiotics.
