Laboratory diagnostics
Laboratory Diagnostics are tests which help
the examiner to come to a conclusion on a specific pathology
that a patient may have. Laboratory testing is not diagnostic
without the careful interpretation of a highly skilled doctor
or lab interpreter. Lab tests include some of the following:
-
CBC (complete blood count) to determine
variables in the blood
-
Chemistry Panel to determine one’s chemical
status
-
Specialized tests like PSA for detection
of Prostate-specific antigen and HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin)
to detect a developing embryo.
